Building Aloha is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on cultural education, disaster relief, youth support, mental wellness, and community care across Polynesian, Native, underserved, and local communities.

Building Aloha was founded on direct service and community collaboration. We work alongside volunteers, nonprofits, cultural leaders, local businesses, and grassroots organizers to provide meaningful support where it is needed most.

Our approach combines cultural grounding, relational care, emergency response, and long-term community connection.

2023 – 2026 Community Impact Snapshot

Disaster Relief & Recovery

  • Sponsored volunteer deployment teams to Maui wildfire relief efforts
  • Assisted distribution centers operating under a ho’oponopono-centered code of conduct
  • Supported approximately 300 families on Maui with:
    • Essential supplies
    • School supplies
    • PPE distribution
    • First aid support
    • Lomi lomi wellness care

California Donation Drives

  • Organized California-based donation drives supporting Maui wildfire survivors
  • Distributed support resources serving approximately 700 impacted families

Food Security Support

  • Collected and donated over 400 pounds of food
  • Supported Solano and Contra Costa County food banks
  • Assisted approximately 45 families experiencing food insecurity

Youth & Cultural Support

  • Donated Android tablets to the Pacific Islander Mana Youth Summit
  • Supported youth access to education and technology resources
  • Directly served 4 students through device support initiatives

Holiday Outreach

  • Delivered Christmas gift bags to the San Carlos Apache Reservation
  • Served approximately 2,000 children and families in need during the holiday season

O’ahu Kona Low Storm Relief

  • Raised $10,000 in charitable aid for families impacted by the Kona Low storms on O’ahu
  • Funds facilitated through community partnership with Keiki O’ka Aina
  • Direct support provided to impacted local families
